What is the difference between Patriot America & Protection America other than 90/10, 80/20 option. From the comparision chart everything else looks the same. Patrior is slightly cheaper than Protection. One thing that I noticed is you can not renew Patriot if its bought <3months initially, however, Protection can be renewed. Any other good reasons for the price difference?

Why dont you call VFS and find out what's happening and if they can help you to resolve this?
The VFS website says the consulate is still holding the passport. My wife also applied for H1B on the sameday/sametime and she got her passport within 3 days. I doubt i am stuck because of this new PIMS rule. Should i send an e-mail to the consulate to confirm it?

If we do not get this problem resovled who will ? All the members in this forum please start taking active part in determining your future your families future and your kids futures.. please do not be short sighted or procrastinate. Take Action NOW, we can do this, please encourage one more person to join in and contribute, talk to other people who are not aware of our plight and educate them, contact your local lawmakers, be active on the forums, support the core members and each others, come on now guys.. may be all of us cant do every thing but try some things at some of the times and some other things some other times :) -- does that make sense .. I wish I was very rich I would have made a HUGE donation to IV to fight for their cause... I really respect the core members for their tenacity, dedication and inner strength to carry on this effort.. admist so much uncertainity and so many obstacles .. and the best part is .. most of the people who will benifit from it dont want to do much about it ..... ok .. I am exhausted now.... Logic Life .. how do you do it .. keep churning out .. one passionate and well thought out post after another .. I think the memo everyne is refering to is Cronin memo. Here is the link. https://www.shusterman.com/cronin51600.html. I-94 date after using AP is one year from entry date, at least in my case.

I also got email from CRIS last night stating that my I-129 has been reopened.
I have a very simple immigration history:
I-129 filed and approved April 2005, petition expires 3/30/2008; only ever worked for this same company.
No H-1B extensions ever filed, no H-1B transfers ever done, no previous history of US immigration prior to April 2005.
Labor, I-140 and I-485 were filed November 2006; I-140 approved February 2007, I-485 approved June 2007, EB2 green card arrived June 2007.
There was a LUD on the I-140, in August, but that was about the same time as a bunch of other people got LUDs on cases starting SRC07... seems like I can disregard that.
There was also a LUD on the I-129 without a status change later in August. No explanation for that was apparent.
And now I get a notice on 10/23/2007 saying that the I-129 has been re-opened and that something will happen within the next 30 days. I'll be sure to keep you all updated if I get anything like an actual I-797 notice through the mail.
Did anyone else get anything on October 23rd?
Ok, so we figured it out. The case really has been re-opened... soon after I got the GC, apparently the attorneys wrote to USCIS and informed them that I'd no longer be working for my company in H status but rather in LPR status.
They asked USCIS to withdraw the LCA and the I-129 petition, so it's normal that the case eventually gets re-opened.
We're expected that USCIS will subsequently revoke the original I-129 sometime within the 30 day period that CRIS mentioned.
If anyone else is in the same boat, there's nothing at all to worry about... as long as your current status remains valid.
Any idea why it's important for the attorneys to notify USCIS that I'm no longer a H worker? The petition would expire next March anyway...

This discussion is something we can't logically conclude.
Even if we did, there are no tangibile benefits for us at this time.

The VB mentions that dates will revert back to the June bulletin and the current says that they may retrogress. We are being too optimistic. before people start the bashing, i am EB3 retrogressed and have sent emails and letters about this issue, still waiting for a response. A query to my congressman came back with more spin about national security and how they are comitted to meaningful immigration policy, nothing from the letters to Rep. logfren and USCIS. Oct VB will be an eye opener for us as well as other EB2's and EB 3 ROWs.

I think it is 45 working days, not counting weekends and holidays, that gives us 9 weeks of time to file for 140, that should be enough in most cases.
